Spicy Vegetable
Ingredients
1.Combine 2 tbsp.coconut, 1 tsp. poppy seeds, 2-3 garlic cloves, 1"ginger,
5 red chillies, 1/2"cinnamon stick, 4 peppercorns, 1/5 tsp.
2.Dania seeds, 4 cloves, a little mace and nutmeg.
3.Cook the vegetables.
4.Heat oil in your pan. Temper with Jeera and slit green chillies.
5.Add onion and fry till brown. Add masala powder. Fry for 30 seconds.
6.Add tomatoes/puree.
7.Add salt and cook till oil floats on top (about 10-15 minutes).
8.Add cooked vegetables and simmer for 10 minutes.
9.To make the gravy creamy, add 1/2 cup of milk.
10.Garnish with cilantro leaves.
Serve piping hot with purees or rice.
